Carbon kevlar hinges
The hinge is constructed of rigid wings and a flex unit. The rigid wings are woven carbon fibre in an epoxy matrix or a glass fibre carbon hybrid. The carbon wings are available in multiple sizes, outlined below.
The 1.6mm hinge is designed for bond assembly. All hinges above that thickness can be either bonded, fixed with screws, or both.
The Kevlar flex units are impregnated with a flexible urethane and can be ordered in a heavy duty, double kevlar version.
We stock select hinge configurations, however, hinges of varying dimensions can be custom made to order. Hinges can be supplied in lengths from 12mm to 1000mm, or 100mm to 600mm for panel hinges, and can pre-drilled and countersunk.
